Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation was awarded a contract worth £42.28 million on March 10 by the US Army to provide advance procurement funding for 21 US Army UH-60M and 15 HH-60M Black Hawk helicopters financing. Work will be performed at Sikorsky’s facility in Stratford, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2018.

The award is a modification to the $8.5 billion Multi-Year 8 contract awarded to Sikorsky on July 10, 2012, for up to 916 UH-60M/HH-60M Black Hawk and MH-60R/MH-60S Seahawk helicopters for delivery to the US Army and US Navy, respectively. Alan Warnes
