BOEING HAS completed delivery of all 30 AH-64E Apache Guardians ordered by the Republic of China Army (ROCA). They were delivered in five batches, each comprising six helicopters. The final batch was unloaded from a ship in the port of Kaohsiung on October 18 and after re-assembly they were flown to Tainan, the ROCA Special Forces base, the following day.
Taiwan placed its order for these helicopters on December 22, 2008. The first batch of six arrived at Kaohsiung on November 14, 2013. One has already been lost in a crash, on April 25, 2014. Alan Warnes
