More Cougars for Venezuela

The Venezuelan Government is negotiating with Eurocopter for the purchase of a new batch of twelve Cougar helicopters to equip the Military Aviation. They will join the fleet of eleven AS-332B1 Super Puma and AS 532AC/UL Cougar purchased in 1989 and 1999 respectively now being overhauled by Eurocopter in France.

The planes are part of an agreement signed between the Venezuelan and French governments, which includes three Airbus A330 for the national airline Conviasa and could include also a batch of ATR 72 propliners. Santiago Rivas
