USMC Orders 12 UH-1Ys and 16 AH-1Zs

Bell Helicopter has been awarded a contract worth over $461 million for the manufacture and delivery of 12 UH-1Y Venom and 16 AH-1Z Viper helicopters to the US Marine Corps. The deal, awarded by US Naval Air Systems Command on March 11 for Lot 13 production, also includes16 auxiliary fuel kits.

Completion is anticipated in February 2019. Earlier, Bell Helicopter had been awarded a contract on November 4, 2014, for acquisition of long-lead items required for production of 14 of the Lot 13 AH-1Zs and 13 Lot 13 UH-1Ys.
